Nominate them now in the 2009/10 YoungStar Awards and they could WIN $5000

To nominate someone aged 8-18 years who has excelled in the area of Arts/Education,Community and/or Sport simply fill in the nomination form online or visit your local McDonald’s Brisbane Restaurants for a nomination coupon or read your local Quest Newspaper for a nomination form.

Three category winners are announced on a bi-monthly basis for 15 of Quest's newspaper titles. At the end of the year, overall category champion for each of the papers will be selected, and from these, an independent judging panel will then choose the overall YoungStar Award category winners. The three overall winners take home $5000 and other prizes from Quest and McDonalds.

Nominations may be lodged for individuals by family members, friends, schools, coaches, clubs, associations or other relavant groups.  Nomination forms appear weekly in your local Quest Community newspaper or are available from McDonald's Brisbane Family Restaurant's  You can also submit your nomination via online here

Anyone can nominate a person for the YoungStar Awards, but if the nomination is made by a family member then a signed verification by a coach, physical education instructor or teacher, or the person who is nominated, is also required.

Nominees agree to allow the use of their nomination details for award publicity purposes. All nominations are administered by Quest Community Newspapers. Incorrect, ineligible or incomplete nomination forms may not be acknowledged or processed. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Nominations will be processed on a bi-monthly basis and close on the last day of each bi-month. Nomination forms are available at your nearest Quest Community Newspapers office or McDonald's Brisbane restaurant. Bi-Monthly winners will automatically qualify for the judging of their paper area category award. Paper winners automatically qualify for the judging of the overall category title for 2007/2008. Each overall category winner will receive $2000.

Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
